AST Hampsons are a long established firm with three offices in and around the North West of England. We have two offices in Rochdale; one on Yorkshire Street, one on South Parade and another in Bury

AST Hampsons was formed in January 2001 by the merger of the firms Atherton Standring Taylor (AST) and Hampsons incorporating Toomey Goodwin & Co. AST was the product of a merger which took place in 1989 between Athertons, who had practiced in Rochdale since 1968 and Standring Taylor & Co which was established in 1852.

Hampsons was formed initially as a six partner practice in January 1991 by four firms, namely Hampson & Co, Freer Heeley & Co, David Feingold & Co and Brody & Co. In May 1989 Hampsons merged with the firm Toomey Goodwin & Co to form the practice of Hampsons incorporating Toomey Goodwin & Co.
