Established in 1990 by Michael Wafer, we now have a dedicated team ready to handle your claim.

About us

We are a small, independent, local family firm of solicitors founded in 1990 by Michael Wafer and David Phillips. Michael Wafer has practiced solo since 1994. We have 27 years of experience and counting in pursuing and settling personal injury claims for our clients.

We don't spend great deal on advertising and we don't have a jingle, but we take pride in excellent recommendations from our clients giving us a word of mouth reputation for providing dedicated, exhaustive and quality service. That's because whilst we may be a small office, we never let that prevent us from giving each and every person and their cases our full and thorough attention, and we never rush to settle claims earlier than they should be.

Unlike some competition in this field from the likes of claims management companies, also known as 'claims factories', we do not churn out clients quickly, doing the bare minimum to secure their fees first, and asking the question of whether the client got a fair amount later. We do things differently - many complex cases only reveal their true worth over time, where at first seemingly minor or innocuous incidents develop long-lasting and sometimes difficult to pinpoint illnesses and injuries. We have time and time again over the years acted on behalf of clients for whom an offer in the low 4 figures in the early stages, can touch the 6 figure mark years down the line.

Not many firms take on such uncertain burdens, working for years without taking any fees, and without any guarantee of fees to come - but we do, and it's one of the reasons if any of our clients were unfortunate enough to need personal injury solicitors again in the future, they nearly always come back to us, and that's something we're proud of.
