Runcorn Golf Club was established in 1909 as a 9-hole course on heath land.

The course continued as 9 holes until the early 1970's when it was extended to 18 holes, this being completed in 1977.

The course, which is situated on the highest part of Runcorn, is a mature tree-lined parkland course, with easy walking with views over the Mersey and Weaver Valleys. The course has superb greens that will test the best of putting skills.

The Golf Club caters for all types of members, including Social Membership. There is a full competition calendar and hosts open events.

Visitors and societies are met with a warm welcome and can enjoy good facilities, a superb dining room with high quality meals.

The Course

Situated less than three miles from the M56, Runcorn Golf Club is highly accessible. The parkland course is noted for its natural surroundings including water hazards running throughout and the superb tree lines defining each hole.

The course measures 6,000+ yards, and is a fair and enjoyable test for any level of golfer, comments from visitors include “It belies its length”.

Experienced professional, first class caterers and the club's administration team ensure a warm welcome to Runcorn and that your day is always one to remember.

Visitor Information

All visitors to the Club are made most welcome. Runcorn is a friendly Club offering good golf on a challenging parkland course with views over the Mersey and Weaver Valleys.

Visitors are welcome any day, although Saturday which is the main competition day tends to see visitors making the most of twilight rates. Tuesday is Ladies Competition Day, please phone the professional for available tee time.

On arrival at the Club visitors must register with the Professional and obtain a green fee ticket prior to playing and receive any instruction/guidance. Practice net and putting area available.

Visitors are encouraged to make full use of the Clubs facilities including bars, restaurant and snooker room. Full changing and showering facilities are available.

In addition we ask that you read and observe the dress code to ensure that your visit runs smoothly
