Welcome to TopTenVacuums.co.uk, my name is Will and I am the founder, product tester and reviewer! I launched this website off the back of my own frustration when I was in the market looking for a new vacuum cleaner. I needed a vacuum cleaner that performed well on both hardwood flooring and carpet, something that was portable, small enough to hideaway but powerful enough to clean pet hair. I ended up choosing the Dyson V8 Absolute, but this was not an easy journey!

A quick Amazon search for vacuum cleaners and you are bombarded with more than 1,000 vacuum cleaners from various household names such as Dyson, Hoover, Bosch, Vax and many others. Then you begin to break down your search based on your budget, primary use, type of vacuum cleaner and it becomes even more complicated! You then get similar vacuum cleaners at similar prices with slight variations.

The complexity hits a new level when you begin looking at other retailers such as Argos, Currys or John Lewis - this is where brands begin slightly tweaking their model names to confuse consumers into thinking they are exclusives or allowing retailers to use different pricing strategies.

Basically, the whole process of shopping for a vacuum cleaner is stupidly confusing.
